Today I had my very first Hanson experience. I sat tensely waiting for the last bell of the day. When it finally came, I half-ran down the hall to the bathroom and changed into my pink “Tokyo” shirt and black skirt in record time. After waiting impatiently for Krystal and Kelly (my two friends) to get ready, we met up with Ashley (my other friend, and the other huge Hanson freak) outside and my mom got us in this huge white van (like Hanson’s!). We went to the service station just outside LaPlace and picked up Rhiannon (my cousin) and Liz (another friend). Finally, we were on our way!! We got to the mall, not knowing where the hell to go, but once we got inside, we only had to follow the screams. We were in a pit type thing just in front of the signing table. We couldn’t see much because everyone in front of us was so tall! After a couple rounds of a Hanson chant, they came out!! I teared up and held my camera up, snapping away. Taylor had on a long white sleeved shirt and light green jean type pants with a belt. Isaac was wearing a dark green t-shirt, and pants, while Zac was wearing his hair pulled back and a black t-shirt with jeans. They came out from the side and waved to everyone before sitting at the table and I really couldn’t see them anymore. After pushing our way closer, we realized that wasn’t even the line for autographs, so we ran outside and the end was all the way down the parking lot. A lady came out and said that they weren’t signing fast enough for us at the end to get their autographs, so we went back inside and tried to see if we could get some good side shots. We decided to go up the glass elevator that was going behind them and see if we could get better pictures. I didn’t see them because this seven foot woman was in front of me, so we got out at the top and took some pictures from the balcony and going down the escalator. Then for the next couple hours we went back and forth between outside and all around the area they were in. I heard some people saying they were supposed to sing so we went inside and they sang the chorus of “This Time Around” a capella all on the same mic!! It was so awesome. Taylor (by this time, he had stripped off the white shirt and was just in a dark blue wifebeater) and Zac came over by where I was standing and touched a few people’s hands, but I was too far back. Walker got me on videotape, too!! So then they went through the crowd and were basically mobbed the whole way. Then we left the mall. So I didn’t touch any Hanson’s =( When we got home, I watched the tape my mom made. She had almost the whole thing on Taylor, and he made some adorable faces especially when these guys got their autographs. Then she got some of Zac acting like...well...Zac! It was so awesome, and even though I didn’t get to meet them or get them to sign anything, it was still an experience I’ll never forget because it was the first time I’ve seen Hanson in the flesh ever. The closest I’ve ever gotten to them is when my face in inches from the television! And thankfully, my entire Hanson experience isn’t over yet, because tomorrow I’ll be seeing them in concert. I CAN’T WAIT!!!!
